
Bookablehood Ltd, the holding company of Tulavo has joined the club of ISO certified companies in Uganda. The International Organisation for Standardisation – ISO is a worldwide federation of international standards bodies.
The company’s Quality management system was audited and found in conformity with the ISO 9001:2015 quality Management System Standards.
According to Mr. Stephen Okhutu, the founder and CEO of Bookablehood Ltd, achieving an ISO certification is a great milestone achieved by the company. He revealed that due to the global nature of the business, the company has been facing challenges in promoting Tulavo to international travellers due to the market which is characterised by poor quality services in Ugandan. He noted that this has been preventing foreign travellers from booking through Tulavo for lack of trust in African brands.
“We are facing stiff competition with global brands and in order for us to compete favourably with these brands we should ensure at all time that we are delivering services at an internationally accepted quality standard. The ISO certification is now proof to the world that we are the best standard on Ugandan market”, Mr. Okhutu noted.
Tulavo is a Ugandan hotel booking platform for affordable travel accommodation.
“ISO 9001 is a quality management system that we have integrated into our business. It is focused on ensuring that our business delivers a consistent level of quality to our customers by having a well-defined and regularly-reviewed processes and procedures. We are delighted for having been recognised for our excellent services,” Catherine Birungi, the company’s quality control Manager said.
The certificate was awarded by Staunchly Management and System Services limited, a ISO certification company found in the United Kingdom.
Bookablehood Ltd certificate covers the scope of Tourism & Hospitality under the brand Tulavo, Radio streaming, Web & Mobile development under the brand Voxcasting.
