On this city walk in Nairobi you will get an introduction to Kenya’s capital and its mix of green space, history and modern life. Nairobi is home to around 5 million people and contains nature parks such as Uhurupark within the urban area, so the city feels unusually green. As you move through central areas, you will observe how the nation’s history sits alongside contemporary buildings and everyday city life. Along the way you will notice cultural diversity shaped by both local traditions and outside influences.
The walk is led by natives of Nairobi who will share the knowledge they have about the city. You will hear local perspectives on neighbourhoods, historical links and the cultural influences that have shaped Nairobi. The pace is relaxed, so you can enjoy the parks, streets and stories without rush.
